Accident claims are changing for the worse

If you have had or know someone that has had an accident i suggest that if they are going to bring a claim they do so before April 2013 as the law is changing against the person bringing the claim.

The much maligned no win no fee is being scrapped and in its place is ……nothing! The injured person will have to pay their own legal costs out of any compensation they recover.

In order to be ” fair” ( oh yes? ) the government and insurance industry have said that all compensation awards for the actual injury ( called pain, suffering and loss of amnenity) will be increased by 10% . Big deal! This will  in no way compensate the person for having to pay their own legal costs out of their compensation .

so the moral of this blog is if you have had an accident do soemthing about it now before the law leaves you considerably worse off!
