Should you conduct Credit Checks before enforcing?

Before incurring the cost of enforcement, you may want to check the debtor’s financial position again, as far as you can. This would involve getting a credit report and checking that no other creditor has petitioned the court to wind up the company that owes you money (a winding up petition). If the debtor is a limited company, then TM Law can carry out a credit check with Creditsafe for a small fee.

If you would like our assistance to enforce a CCJ that either you or we have obtained, then please contact Terry Maylin who has many years of experience in enforcing judgments and knows the best way to proceed in a given situation.
