Whiplash does it exist?

The scientific answer is YES.

It is proven in a detailed study by Gordon Bannister a professor of othtopaedic surgery at Bristol Univeristy  that an impact of just 2.5 mph is the threshold at which it is possible to cause whiplash injury.

Most modern cars have bumpers that are designed to show no damage at all up to 5 mph . Some tests have shown that a car can be crashed at upto 20 mph with no visible damage. This is very nearly 10 times the speed at which it is likely that whiplash injury can be casued.

If you have a low speed collision and there is no apparent vehicle damage – do not let the driver who caused the accident or his insurers kid you into believing you cannot have been injured. If you are hurt at the time or it comes on a short while( weeks) later you should see a solicitor and persue a claim .

we at tm-law are members of the Law societys personal injury panel and the association of personal injury lawyers and equiped to deal with this matter .contact us and we will let you have our views on your claim and whether it has a chance of sucess
