The Clients Challenge
The clients running a high end office furniture business had a contract with a business partner to carry out work for them. The partner without warning or reason terminated the agreement.
The client suffered a Loss of profit estimated at £200,000 based on an expected spend on the part of the client of £1m , the clients expected to make a minimum net profit of 20% making an estimated loss of £200,000.
The clients were promised work worth £1,000,000 from the defendants per annum.

We tried to reach a resolution without the need for the issue of proceedings which did not prove possible and so court proceedings for compensation limited to £200,000 were issued.
Following receipt of a defence the business partners recognized that the dispute was going to take a long time to resolve and cost a lot of money and so a negotiation meeting was arranged at which a very favorable settlement was reached for the clients.
This avoided huge expense of taking the matter to a trial and saved a lot of time and stress on the clients.
